General Conference is here yet again! I don’t get as many chances as I would like to ponder and reflect on my life. I always look forward to the first weekends of April and October, and this weekend is no different. If you’re like me, however, it can be difficult to get the most out of General Conference. I would like to offer 5 ways to get the most out of conference. (Note: for those who don’t know how to tune in to General Conference — for free– go here for more information)
There is a certain blogger that I see popping up online that drives me crazy. I’m not going to tell you who it is, because I really don’t think the world is a better place with him getting extra traffic. He usually chooses a hot topic, draws a moral line in the sand, and then berates and insults those who would disagree with his view. People I know on Facebook are constantly sharing links to his blog posts, and it drives me mental. Surely, they don’t actually share this guy’s attitudes, do they? Let’s just keep it simple, folks. Let’s all remind ourselves of Thumper’s Rule:

Sometimes, I like to write blog posts about stuff going on in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (aka the Mormon church). This is one of those posts.
Ordain Women is at it again! The feminist group that seeks complete equality in the LDS Church is planning, once again, to get into the Priesthood Session of General Conference. Last fall, I watched a bunch of brave women stand up for what they believed in, and I honestly found some of it inspiring. These were women who love the gospel and the Church, and yet they felt a yearning to ask for a real change.
